The 2014 NBA All-Star Game is fast approaching and sneakerheads are starting to see the first leaked images of the highly anticipated lineup in New Orleans. Jordan Brand's lineup for the big game was revealed on Sunday and will include the Air Jordan XX8 that was also featured in last year's game.
Typically the latest Air Jordan would be debuting right around All-Star Weekend, but with speculation that the launch of the Air Jordan XX9 was pushed back to later in the year, the Air Jordan XX8 will be called upon for duty once again. Featuring a luxurious perforated white shroud, this year's All-Star edition of the XX8 will be in stark contrast to last year's green stealth colorway. The much-heralded Jordan Flight Plate will also be featured but a change to the shoe can be found on the heel counter. While previous versions of the XX8 have used carbon fiber on the heel counter, this version will feature bamboo or at least take on the appearance of bamboo to give it a unique look.
The Air Jordan XX8 "2014 All-Star" is expected to drop during NBA All-Star Weekend but no definite date, price or locations that will carry the kicks have been revealed. With Russell Westbrook injured and most likely unavailable until after the All-Star Game, it is unclear at the moment who will wear the shoes during the big game.
