First Lady Michelle Obama wore Kimberly McDonald jewelry at Inaugural Ball

First Lady Michelle Obama stepped out at the Inaugural Ball in Kimberly McDonald jewelry. This little known designer is now getting a household name. Yahoo! News reported on Jan. 23 that the designer was shocked that the First Lady chose her.

Everyone knows what Michelle wore on Monday night. She stunned everyone in her red velvet and chiffon Jason Wu gown. She also wore Jimmy Choo shoes.

The First Lady also sparkled in diamonds. She wore diamond bracelets and earrings to go with her glamorous gown. Kimberly McDonald is the 43-year-old behind the stunning jewelry.

Kimberly said that she had no idea that Michelle chose to wear her jewelry. She sat in front of the television, anxiously waiting for the First Lady to make her entrance. Instead, she walked her dogs to calm herself down.

Unfortunately, she missed First Lady Michelle Obama's grand entrance at the Inaugural Ball. Kimberly McDonald received an email that Michelle did wear her diamonds. The designer says she's flattered, but she’s not sure where her newfound fame will take her.
