First Lady Michelle Obama is not pregnant, despite reports

Every once in a while, stories start circulating that First Lady Michelle Obama is pregnant with her third child. It happened shortly after President Obama took office, and Thursday the rumor started circulating again. Scottsdale fans of the first family love the idea of the pitter-patter of little feet running around the White House again, but this is one bit of wishful thinking that isn't happening.

This time around, a site called Weekly World News started the story, which then spread through social media sites like wildfire. Luckily, Gossip Cop  caught on to the fake story and checked into it. Weekly World News said, "The White House announced that Michelle Obama is pregnant with the couple's third child." They added that the First Lady was still in her first trimester, and that President Obama was "ecstatic." The baby was said to be due in May 2012.

It's a great story, except it's entirely untrue. Gossip Cop shares that of course the White House made no such announcement. Rather than verify that fact, many other websites and social sites took the news and ran with it. As much as many Scottsdale fans of the family would love for this story to be true, President Obama confirmed just a few months ago that their family is complete. President and Michelle Obama clearly love their daughters Malia and Sasha, and it would be fun ot watch a new baby in the White House. That said, this baby bump watch can officially be put to rest.
