They say good things come in small packages. The HTC One is a very good phone, but large screens might now appeal to all users. It now has a baby brother in the form of the HTC One Mini newly released on AT&T for $99 on a two year contract.
Lately mid range phones have been a curious combination of compromises. Low end phones are starting to offer better user experiences, and it takes time for new tech to trickle down from the premier handsets. The Mini is HTC's attempt to address a gaping hole in the Android ecosystem, namely a premier fit and finish on a smaller screened phone. Until recently this was an area most companies have ceded to Apple.
