First impressions: Kentucky's Anthony Davis busts out in debut against Marist

In terms of first impressions, Kentucky Wildcats freshman Anthony Davis made a great one against the visiting Marist Red Foxes.

No.2-ranked Kentucky was downright dominant against Marist, as rightfully so, and it was the 6-foot-10 freshman phenom leading the charge with game-highs in points, rebounds and blocked shots.

In just 23 minutes on the court, Davis played havoc to the Red Foxes attack on both ends of the court, connecting on 10-of-13 shots from the field (8 of which were dunks) and blocking a total of five shots on the night.

With his 23 points and 10 rebounds, Davis' name will now be mentioned in the same breath as current teammate Terrence Jones and Wildcats' legend Sam Bowie as the only freshmen in Kentucky history with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in their debut.

Many will argue that a big game against Marist was to be expected of both Davis and Kentucky, but the talented big man certainly did nothing to dissuade our high opinions of him.
