Hyundai recently delivered the first of its special edition production version of the 2013 Veloster RE:MIX to its new owner in Houston, Texas according to an announcement from Hyundai on Feb. 22.

Brittany Carmona, was selected to receive the first Veloster RE:MIX special edition model and her excitement was evident as she proudly took delivery this last month at Sterling McCall Hyundai in Houston, Texas.

Hyundai created considerable excitement with several 2013 Veloster concept cars shown at the 2012 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas in November 2012 that included the Veloster RE:MIX, C3 Roll Top, Velocity and Ark Alpine.

The special edition RE:MIX Veloster was inspired by Hyundai’s successful RE:MIX Lab event program for which Hyundai created a series of concept vehicles for events on their RE:MIX Lab national tour in 2012. The RE:MIX Lab was a 2012 national tour sponsored by Hyundai celebrating creativity in music, art, fashion, technology, gaming, culture and design.

Of the four concept Veloster concepts shown by Hyundai at SEMA, the RE:MIX was slated to become a special edition production model when it debuted at the show unlike most concept cars shown at SEMA that do not become production models.

According to Hyundai, this Veloster is a cool blend of exclusive features and options that synthesize to create a distinctive lifestyle offering from Hyundai that is truly a "Re-Mix" and a turn-key production offering with an aggressive demeanor, specifically for enthusiasts.

This limited edition production 2013 Veloster RE:MIX features an aggressive sporty exterior with a unique body kit, 18-inch dark gunmetal-finish alloy wheels, LED headlight accents and taillights, and unique RE:MIX badging. The interior is enhanced with a 450-watt premium Dimension audio system, push-button start with proximity key, leather steering wheel and shift knob, unique interior light kit and RE:MIX floormats.

In addition to the exclusive Sprint Gray exterior color, a simplified color palate of five additional Veloster colors will be available: Century White, 26.2 Yellow, Marathon Blue, Ultra Black and Boston Red. The Veloster RE:MIX starts at $20,845 for the manual transmission model (including a $795 freight charge).

“The Veloster RE:MIX represents the ultimate Hyundai lifestyle coupe in terms of style, design and performance,” said Sales Manager, Sterling McCall Hyundai. “Many Hyundai customers today are looking for individual design expression, exclusivity and smartphone connectivity. Veloster RE:MIX delivers a truly unique sporty appearance, premium branded audio and abundant tech features.”

Hyundai’s Veloster is an innovative compact coupe that features ground-breaking design, with a unique curbside third door for easy rear-seat access, Hyundai’s Blue Link® telematics system, Pandora® internet radio with seven-inch touch-screen display and a new 1.6-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine.

The 2013 Veloster, along with the all new exciting 2013 Santa Fe SUV and the fun-to-drive 2013 Elantra GT, is earning numerous accolades including Bloomberg’s “Best Economy Car,” one of Kelley Blue Book’s “10 Coolest New Cars under $18,000” and Autobytel’s Car of the Year for 2012 as they continue to attract Hyundai’s next generation of buyers.
