If you're a writer living in the West Michigan area, Baker Book House is offering a great opportunity for you! On Friday evening, from 7-11pm, they will be hosting the first-ever JOT conference.

JOT is a new type of writer's conference. It takes place over the course of only 4 hours, is totally FREE, and will even offer you a chance to write! (It's true that actually writing at a writer's conference is rare).

You can expect short presentations from industry experts on the writing life, the publication process, and tips on writing flash fiction. You will also be able to ask questions, and, as mentioned above, will even have time in between presentations to write.

4 hours surrounded by books, a coffee shop in-house, great instructional teaching and motivation, and time to write? Writers would have to be crazy to pass up an opportunity like this!

For more information, including the presenters and a coffee coupon, visit the JOT Conference page
