The first of hopefully many same sex marriages involving two men was performed as the U.S. Military Academy, better known as West Point, on November 2nd. This is the nation's oldest of the service academies, and it trains future officers in the U.S. Army. Of course, the first ever same sex wedding at West Point was last year involving two women.
Larry Choate III is a graduate of the class of 2009. Daniel Lennox is a member of class of 2007, so it is very well possible Lennox yelled at Choate in the fall of 2005, when Choate was a young plebe.
Now of course, the anti-gay crowd are out in force, because the idea of a gay man or woman serving our nation in the military, is horrible to them.
But, for the rest of America that is sane, congrats to Choate and Lennox. May they live to see a time where gays and lesbians can marry in every state in the union.
