First downloadable content for Modern Warfare 3 available January 24

The folks behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have finally confirmed the first release date for downloadable content, being made available first to Call of Duty Elite Premium members on XBox Live on January 24.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling stated in an Elite video that this release date kicks off the "Season of Content" for Modern Warfare 3, which is expecting to see new DLC content once a month over the next nine months.

Details on what kind of downloadable content is coming on January 24 was not revealed in the Activision teaser.  The lifespan of the monthly MW3 content also seems to confirm the next Call of Duty game will launch around the same time of year as the last few titles as the "Season of Content" would end in late September.
