The first Cuban Cultural Fest is in the works in Tampa to celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of Cuba that have been nurtured and kept alive by Cuban Americans living in Tampa Bay.
The festival is scheduled for May 18 and 19 at the Cuban Club in Ybor City, 2010 Avenida Republica de Cuba. It will showcase fashion, film, music, dance, art, food, drinks, cigars, crafts and trade.
Organizers are currently looking for models of all cultures and are having a model casting call this Thursday, Feb. 21 and March 14 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m respectively for kids 5-10 years of age; female and male models 15-30 years of age. The casting will be at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ybor City, 1700 East 9th Ave. If interested, send an email to Aylensuarez@me.com with a photo, email and phone number.
