In conjunction with the Capitol Riverfront BID and The Yards, Riverfront Benefit Festival is launching the First Annual RiverFrontFest, October 9, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Water Street SE adjacent to The Yards riverfront park in the vibrant and upcoming Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.
RiverFrontFest will provide a platform for regional and local artists and musicians to showcase their work and entertain the public. Proceeds raised through the event will benefit local organizations including Kids Set Sail, Earth Conservation Corps and Living Classrooms. RiverFrontFest is here to build an awesome sense of community by bringing the arts and people together in an annual event to the new and growing marina area.
Festival patrons are invited to enjoy a day of live performances, delicious food, unique arts and crafts, and children’s activities. This year’s inaugural festival will feature a Breakdance Competition by No Kings Collective’s Peter Chang, multiple bands and musicians on three different stages, a flying trapeze demonstration by Trapeze School New York, and much more.
Admission to RiverFrontFest is $12 in advance and $15 at the door and will allow to enjoy unlimited music and dance performances all day long in the fenced-in area. From rock and roll to go-go fun, from breakdancing to techno deejays, RiverFrontFest brings together a wide range of musical talent all in one fun day.
