First annual art competition calling for student artists

Indigo Perfumery, Cleveland’s only niche fragrance boutique, invites local college art students to translate olfactory art into fine art. With Exploring the Senses: Art from Perfume, Indigo Perfumery's first annual collegiate student art competition, artists are invited to submit work that celebrates the intangible beauty of fragrance.

The competitors will visit Indigo Perfumery to experience the perfumes in the shop and choose one fragrance that inspires them to create their artistic interpretation of the scent. Indigo Perfumery will be open for competitors March 4-14.

Applications will be accepted through April 11. The opening reception and announcement of winners will be May 1. Indigo Perfumery will display the art work to the public May 2-17.

The best of the best will be presented and the top three places of Art from Perfume will be awarded as follows:

First prize: $500
Second prize: $300
Third prize: $200

For more information about the competition, visit for details and to obtain the student application form.
