Fireworks Spectaculars Across Atlanta this 4th of July weekend

No matter what part of town you are in, you can still take part in some amazing fireworks spectaculars festivities this 4th of July weekend. WSBTV has compiled a complete list of events going on this weekend. Below are some of the highlights across town:

ALPHARETTA - Wills Park

Monday, July 4, 2011 3:00 PM

Free children’s activities from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The live music starts at 6:00 p.m. with the Alpharetta City Band, followed by Serious Business at 7:00 p.m. The fireworks show begins at dusk.

ATLANTA

Legendary 4th at Lenox Square Mall. There’ll be live musical entertainment on the mall’s outdoor main stage, Adidas Independence Day Tent Sale, Taste Of the 4th, and Family Carnival areas. A1A, known as The Official and Original Jimmy Buffet Tribute Show, takes the stage at 6:00 p.m., followed by Party on the Moon at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks display starts at approximately 9:40 p.m. FYI–the carnival is a new addition for 2011, and it runs from June 30-July 4. Ride tickets are $20 for 18, and each ride costs between 2-5 tickets. Tickets for the Taste of the 4th are $10 each, and it takes place from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in the main stage area. You can sample offerings from California Pizza Kitchen, Davio’s, Morelli’s, The Palm, and Red Brick.

4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park. Gates open at 2 p.m., with activities including face painting, stilt walkers, and more, and you can relax on the Great Lawn or cool off in the Fountain of Rings. The free musical entertainment begins at approximately at 4 p.m. with von Grey, followed by The Regulars Band at 5 p.m., the Key at 6:30 p.m., and Crystal Bowersox at 8:30 p.m. The fireworks display will be synchronized to a special selection of patriotic and popular music.

AUBURN

This years Celebration in Downtown Auburn will be a 2-Day Event on July 2nd, from 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and July 3rd from 12:00 p.m. - ending with Fireworks which will be directly downtown again! Saturday, July 2nd beginning at 9:00 p.m. they will have the Beach Party by the volley ball court featuring the Alan Knieter Band from Atlanta. Sunday, July 3rd, the annual Fireworks Display. The Car Show will be on Sunday ONLY.

AUSTELL

Grab the family and celebrate July 4th at Six Flags Over Georgia with all of the excitement, thrills and spills you can handle. Top off the night with a special patriotic fireworks display.

AVONDALE ESTATES

The 4th of July Celebration The 4th of July Celebration is a time-honored tradition here in Avondale Estates. Residents and friends come together to enjoy the festivities, including the parade and the fireworks at Lake Avondale. Avondale Estates is truly a "blast" on the 4th of July!

CARROLLTON

July 4th

Annual 4th of July Fireworks & Independence Concert. Make plans to enjoy the Carroll Symphony Orchestra in front the of the Carrollton Elementary School at 8:30 pm. The firework show that follows at 9:30 pm is synchronized to begin with the last note of the concert.

CHAMBLEE

Independence Day Celebration - Featuring activities for kids and adults, food vendors, live music, and an elaborate fireworks show in Keswick Park

CONYERS

Parade beginning at 6 p.m. The concert, featuring the Callanwolde Concert Band, begins at 7 p.m. in the Community Bandstand. Fireworks begin at dark (approximately 9 p.m.) and are shot from the top of the DeKalb County parking deck.

DOUGLASVILLE

It is held across from the East Point MARTA station & East Point City Hall. Free outdoor concert at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw. The Tribute to Legends series continues at 8 pm when Eagles tribute band Hotel California takes the stage. The band Destination will perform at 6 pm. A spectacular fireworks display is planned during the show at 9:30 pm.

LAKE LANIER

12th Annual July 4th Extravaganza

This year’s July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at Roswell High School located on King Road off of SR 92.

Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and includes the following performances: Big Biscuit at 6 p.m. Banks & Shane at 7:30 p.m. Moby, a popular local radio personality, will emcee the event and there will be activities for the children. At dark, a beautiful 30-minute fireworks display will be the highlight of the evening.

STONE MOUNTAIN (STONE MOUNTAIN PARK)

Fantastic Fourth Celebration Stone Mountain Park's 44th Annual Fantastic Fourth Celebration. The Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision can be seen nightly July 2 - 4, immediately followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Park attractions will open at 10 am on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th and the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision, will start at 9:30pm.
