Are you and the kids anxious to see Independence Day fireworks? Then I have good news. You won't have to wait until Monday, July 4th. In fact, if you're in the Bay Area and you don't mind a little driving, you could actually visit fireworks displays three evenings in a row: Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday, July 2nd, the town of Oakley will be setting off fireworks at dusk at Freedom Basin Park. (MAP) Starting at 6pm, you and the family be able to enjoy food, entertainment, games and even jump houses for the little ones.
The fireworks show and entertainment are free. Wristbands for rides can be purchased for $5 for children 6 and up, children 5 and under are free. As always, it's suggested that you bring lawn chairs and blankets.
