Twenty five years of music and success is celebrating the American Orchestral Academy The New World Symphony. Twenty five years of giving joy to the community .
The concert celebration will take place at the New World Center in Miami Beach, Sunday February 24th and it will be a Wallcast too at 7:30 PM, and a regular concert at 2 PM
Fans and music lovers will come rejoice all together with the fellows of the New World Symphony for this special concert free to the community that will culminate in a firework display after the 7:30 PM concert.
The program will include music by beloved american composer Leonard Bernstein, such as Bernstein's Imaginary Coney Island from "On the Town", Bernstein selection from West Side Story, and Bernstein Symphonic dances from West Side Story, and will feature soloists Jesica Rivera(soprano) and Dimitri Pittas (tenor).
With the help of patrons the New World Symphony helped launch the careers of 900 alumni now performing in professional orchestras and ensembles worldwide. New world symphony has offered free concerts (one-third of their performances) that reach thousands of people each year. Engaged Fellows’ to work with local students, and additionally helped provide children with instruments so they could learn to play.
Simply stated, the New World Symphony has helped enrich the lives of every lover of classical music in this region.
Through the 25th Anniversary Celebrations, including a Gala and Community Concerts, NWS honors Michael Tilson Thomas, the New World Symphony's Co-Founder, Artistic Director and visionary responsible for such innovative programs.
