Union Jack, Double Jack, Wookey Jack…Easy Jack? The latest addition to Firestone Walker’s Jack IPA Family is beginning to hit shelves now, as Easy Jack Session IPA is the latest hopped-up brew to join their seasonal portfolio.
While the session IPA has become a wildly popular style over the past couple years (Founders All Day IPA, Stone Go To IPA, etc.), Brew Master Matt Brynildson set out to create something a little different from their brewing contemporaries. With some of these beers ending up as IPAs with the volume (or alcohol and flavor) turned down a couple notches, Firestone Walker aims to deliver something complex and exciting with Easy Jack.
The beer was hopped with a variety of strains from Germany and New Zealand, as well as the domestically-born Mosaic hop which is known for its tropical, piney and citrus characteristics. Combine this explosive cocktail of hops with a mere 4.5% ABV, and this looks to be one that will be flying off shelves until the supply runs dry.
Easy Jack Session IPA will be available seasonally in Spring and Summer for a suggested retail price of $9.99 per six-pack. Remember to check your freshness dates! Firestone Walker prints theirs on the bottom left hand corner of each bottle label.
