Their signature ales and lagers will now be available in three new states: Iowa, Oklahoma, and Virginia. This brings their distribution to 11 states outside of their home state of California.
Fireman's Brew has also hired a VP of National Sales, Don Lake, who has seen time at both Anheuser-Busch and Coors. Interesting to see someone who has worked at the macro breweries jump to the micro brewery scene. A sign of things to come?
Fireman's Brew makes three beers: a Blonde (pilsner), Brunette (dopplebock), and a Redhead (amber).
The Blonde and the Brunette recently accepted honors at the 2013 San Diego International Beer Competition. The Blonde won a silver in the lager category while the Brunette earned a gold in the German style bock category.
While it may seem like the Redhead was the odd one out, I actually enjoyed that beer the most when sampling the three.
Congratulations to Fireman's Brew in their recent expansion, and to Don Lake on his new position.
