Fingerless mitts and wrist warmers: knit and crochet patterns with pictures

After the holiday rush to finish all your knit and crochet gifts, January is a welcomed month to relax, minus time constraints and the demands of individual tastes. One Ravelry knitalong is appropriately calling itself the "selfish" knitting month KAL. Among the pattern choices knitters had are fingerless mitts, wrist warmers or "texting gloves," though not really mittens or gloves per se, but very handy for today's technology-driven world. Here are some free patterns for knit and crochet mitten patterns for adults and children to get you started.

Fingerless Mitts pattern "BonBons" by Susanna IC is a "Best of" Freebie Friday KnitPicks free pattern. Susanna IC you might remember is the talented knitting designer living in Germany. Her BonBons wrist warmer pattern is available here.
