Watkins Glen International will host the annual Finger Lakes Wine Festival, Friday through Sunday, July 11th through 13th. The event features over 90 wineries, more than 100 non-wine vendors and numerous restaurants showcased around the track, and it is once again sponsored by local favorites Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese.
The festival takes place rain or shine, with major activities taking place under cover. The festival features wine pick-up service for ease of shopping, and camping is also available at the track.
Events planned for the festival include the Launch of the Lakes on Friday, July 11th, featuring live music, food and wine sampling, and fireworks (tickets are $20); cooking classes and demonstrations; educational wine seminars; the Taster’s Banquet on Saturday, July 12th, featuring regional foods paired with area wines (tickets are $65); and the Great Western Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, July 12th and 13th ($30 per person each day).
Tickets and camping are now available for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. One-day passes for Saturday or Sunday are $40 and two-day passes are $50; designated driver passes and minors passes are also available. Get more information on the Festival and purchase tickets at www.flwinefest.com
