Fine start for the Los Angeles Galaxy by defeating the Chicago Fire

The Los Angeles Galaxy had a great start on Sunday as they defeated the Chicago Fire 4-0 in the first game of the MLS season of 2013.

The LA Galaxy web page reported that the Angeleno team dominated the game and took a victory that was well deserved over the Chicago team.

The first three goals were made by forward Mike Magee earning a hat trick in the inauguration game of the season.

Captain Robbie Keane, Irish player and forward, finished the game with the fourth goal for the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 80th minute. Keane is the current captain for the Galaxy as Landon Donovan is still on hiatus until the end March.

This year, the Galaxy will attempt to get a third straight MLS title. It is also the first year without playing without David Beckham who left the American league to go play in France.

With the Beckham era gone, the Galaxy is still showing that it can function perfectly by displaying this huge victory over the Chicago Fire.

The Galaxy’s next game will be on Thursday against Herediano, a Costa Rican team, for a CONCACAF Champions League playoff game. It will be the first leg, and it will be played in Costa Rica.
