King isn't really royalty. He's not looking for a castle.
He's a shelter dog who's just looking for a loving home.
His journey started when his owner left him with his girlfriend and never returned for him. She was unable to keep him so he was brought to ACCT in Philly last September. He was then transferred to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
He was adopted and returned a couple of times through no fault of his own.
He was found wandering as a stray and brought back to ACCT where he was immediately recognized. His family never came, so he was transferred back to the PSPCA where he currently resides.
So he's had some disappointments along the way, but that's part of life for humans and animals. Fortunately, King's not letting it get him down. Read King's entire story here.
King, an active 1-2 year old, has some wonderful people in his corner who love him, believe in him, and want to find the perfect person for him to spend his life with.
They have high hopes that King will make the right connection soon with a little help from his friends. It sometimes takes a few tries to find the perfect home.
This happy boy loves exercise so if you are looking for a running partner, he's your guy. He also enjoys snuggling, knows basic commands, and loves balls, toys, and other dogs. But no cats for King.
Because of some puppy-like manners he should not go to a home with young children at this time.
No, King is not royalty, and this isn't a fairytale, but he and every other shelter animal deserves a happily ever after.
If you are interested in making that happen, he is at the PSPCA at 350 E. Erie Avenue in Philadelphia, PA 19134. Adoption hours are 1PM-8PM Monday through Friday and 10AM-5PM Saturday/Sunday.
You may also contact the shelter directly. However, due to high call/email volume, you may experience a delay in response. Call the shelter at 215-426-6304 ext. 244 or email email@example.com.
