Snap Kitchen launches free-book available in May. Andrea Hinsdale, RD, LD explains how to find your lifestyle eating plan.

HOUSTON, TX – April 30, 2014 – Snap Kitchen, a Texas leader and innovator in the healthy takeaway dining segment is set to launch a free e-book for customers that emphasizes a back to basics, yet unique approach to finding every individual’s “lifestyle eating plan.” Slated for release in May, this will be the company’s first in a series of four e-books written by in-house Registered Dietitian Andrea Hinsdale and edited by Stephanie Hoban RD, LD. Hinsdale blesses each of the chef-driven meals at Snap Kitchen to ensure they’re perfectly portioned and nutritionally vetted. She also oversees nutrition / wellness education and recipe analysis for Snap Kitchen’s menu items for all 11 locations in Texas.

"It is our hope that its availability as a free, downloadable e-book will help us reach a broader audience and allow greater numbers of readers access to the mind/body solutions that have been so effective at Snap Kitchen,” said Daniel Helfman, director of marketing for Snap Kitchen. “One of our brand pillars is education and this e-book has been designed to motivate individuals to discover the rewards of healthy living.”

The first part of the series focuses on “Our Current State,” which highlights the cost of obesity and offers proof that a “lifestyle change” really works. Follow up chapters to the series will be released later this year, and will cover some of the more widely recognized lifestyle programs such as the Mediterranean Diet and Vegetarianism. Hinsdale’s goal is to break down each diet and highlight pros/cons, so that individuals may find components of each that work for them. According to Hinsdale, “there’s not one program that works for everybody, so the following diet reviews will help you find the best way to adopt and implement new, healthy habits that will last a lifetime.”

According to Marketdata Enterprises, Americans spend in excess of 60 billion dollars per year on dieting and the diet industry is a booming business with 27% of the population currently on a diet. Hinsdale addresses these stats and the effect on the growing national waistline by laying out the dietary and nutritional advice and encouraging individuals to skip the fast fix diet and commit to a lifetime of healthy diet and exercise.
