Is your mind constantly racing? Having a bad day, or just need to relax? Being outside is not only healthy for you physically, but your mind would appreciate it even more! Just by gardening in your own yard can reap its own benefits, but what about going to a very tranquil flower garden by the river? Going somewhere besides your own yard is even more relaxing at times because you are not there to worry about what else needs to be done work wise. You can walk around or sit and enjoy the colors and green beauty without worrying about yard work.
So what gardens are the best to visit here in St. Cloud? Clemens and Munsinger’s of course! Not only do you have a variety of flowers and plants, but the river, water fountains and wildlife surround you there as well.
Walk the well worn stone pathways and take in the fresh air to clear your head. Or go over to the wishing well and make a wish. Stop and take in the beauty of all the species of flowers and plants, or even smell them for some all natural aromatherapy. Go and sit by one of the fountains, close your eyes and listen to the water trickle. Meditate to the sound of the water if you want. Or you can sit in the cool green grass and watch the ducks and people go by. Don’t forget to go visit the peacock pen too! There is so much to take in, just let the beauty of these parks envelope you and take away your stress and worries. But keep in mind not to feed the ducks or geese! Not only do they poop more, but it puts their health into serious risk by causing possible crop impaction that can kill them.
Don’t forget to take your camera if you want to remember certain special aspects of the park! Put them into frames or a scrapbook so you will have them during the winter lows as well. Maybe some features the park will give you ideas for your own yard? Bring a notebook and write them down.
Most importantly, have fun, relax, bring your family if you like and indulge in the beauty of nature!
