Also, pipes used to smoke hookah in bars and cafes can be filthy. Many friends and strangers who share hookah can be at risk of infectious diseases. It is best to thoroughly clean the mouth piece before using.

The conclusion is that cigarette tobacco is just as toxic as a hookah pipe. No, the water in the hookah does not filter out the toxic ingredients in the tobacco. So the hookah looks more fun but smokers can probably inhale more tobacco toxins.
