Find out who killed Cupid at live murder mystery dinner theater at the Civic Cen

The live, interactive murder mystery dinner theater event returns to the Civic Center with a new show "Who Killed Cupid?—The Wedding of the Year" on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Earlier performances in the series sold out, so we encourage you to buy your tickets early.

Doors open (cash bar) at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. (as dinner is served).

Tickets cost $40 per person and must be purchased in advance either in person at the Community Center or at the Civic Center Recreation Desk, or by credit card over the phone by calling (772) 807-4488 or (772) 878-2277.

Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

The setting for the show is St. Valentine's Day, the wedding day of a glamorous stage and screen actress to a humble wedding singer named Valentine Cupid. Professional actors in costume begin mingling with guests during the cocktail hour, which begins with the opening of a cash bar at 6 p.m. 

Then, at 7 p.m., as dinner is served, a detective announces a shocking discovery: the murder of Cupid! Scenes will be acted out during each course of the meal as additional details unfold, and guests will be encouraged to ask questions and sort through clues to determine the guilty party. 

At the end of the show, the lucky audience "sleuths" who correctly select the murderer will be part of a trivia "showdown" to determine a winner. Prize packages will vary, but they are typically valued at more than $100.

Clapping Monkey Productions is producing the show in partnership with the Civic Center. All the actors are experienced professionals, and live in the Treasure Coast area. 

The four-course dinner catered by Domenick's Catering will include pork pot sticker hors d'oeuvres, house salad with ranch or balsamic dressing, stuffed sliced chicken breast with white wine, spinach and cream sauce, and red velvet cake for dessert, water and coffee. A vegetarian meal option is available by calling (772) 807-4497 on or before Friday, Jan. 13.

Actors weave throughout dining room to perform and visit each table, so there is no table situated better than another. Tables seat 10 persons comfortably. A table number will be assigned to you upon entering. Should your party wish to purchase tickets separately, but sit together, after purchasing tickets, call (772) 807-4497 at least 48 hours prior to event. Please have all names available. If your party is larger than 10, know how you wish to break up your party; we will try to seat everyone at adjacent tables.

The Civic Center is located at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, on the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 1 and Walton Road.
