Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz have added a new member to their family. No, they didn’t go out and buy a dog or cat. Alicia gave birth to a son!
Alicia and Swizz named their son Egypt Daoud Dean. Swizz was so excited he even tweeted "I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!"
Known for the songs No One, Lesson Learned, Wait Til You See My Smile and many more, Alicia has captivated a wide audience.
Music Blogs reported that Swizz isn’t the only one tweeting about the birth:
Singer Mary J. Blige sent the parents well wishes via Twitter.
The couple began dating in 2008 and wed in July on the Mediterranean Sea.

The singer and her husband, Swizz "Kaseem Dean" Beatz, "joyfully welcomed their first child," son Egypt Daoud Dean, on Oct. 14 in New York City, reps for the couple confirm in a statement to PEOPLE.
The new parents are doing well and are exceedingly happy with the birth of their son. This is Alicia’s first child. Her husband, Swizz, has three other children (two boys and a girl) from prior liaisons.
Alicia was so happy she tweeted "There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to a express a FEELING like this!!!" During her pregnancy, Alicia had previously commented that she couldn’t wait to her little man.
