Have you always wanted to "do something" to help homeless pets, but never knew how? Take Me Home Pet Rescue is holding a Volunteer Information Session and Open House for prospective volunteers this Tuesday, February 7th at the TMHPR Community Adoption Center, 561 W. Campbell Rd., Suite 303 in Richardson. This is a great time to find out more about the many adult volunteer opportunities available. They are looking for people who can walk dogs, clean out kennels, organize fundraisers, manage animal adoption events, and much more. They need volunteers who want to work with animals as well as those with skills in marketing, administration and grant writing.
Just a few hours a week or month can make a huge difference in the life of an animal. The more volunteers an organization has, the more dogs and cats they can rescue, foster and place into loving, forever homes.
There will be two sessions on Tuesday. This first session will be held from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm, and the second will be from 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Light appetizers, soft drinks and adult beverages will be served starting at 6:00 pm. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening until 8:30 pm.
Please note: Take Me Home Pet Rescue is a family-friendly, pet-friendly organization, however they are asking everyone to leave both pets and children at home for this first meeting.
