Google, on Nov. 10, launched a specialized Maps site that allows users anywhere in the United States to identify sites where they can receive seasonal and H1N1 influenza vaccinations.

Just click here to find the Flu Shot Finder.  Typing in your city or ZIP code produces a list and detailed map of pharmacies that have or had flu vaccines in stock.

The Virginia Department of Health has also set up a Web site that lists hospital, public health offices and other medical facilities slated to receive and administer swine flu vaccines. Tidewater residents can visit their city's health department Web page to learn more about flu vaccines:

You may find that all nearby pharmacies and medical facilities are temporarily out of vaccine stocks. Federal and state officials are assuring the public that everyone who needs a seasonal or swine flu shot or intranasal vaccine should be able to get one soon.
