The locations of many of the farmers markets you may have attended over the summer have changed. Because of our excessive summer heat, many of the farmers markets closed for the summer months. This included the City Centre market and the downtown market. These markets are now open, and there is other news to know before you go about other area markets.
The Spring Branch farmers market that was held on Wednesday afternoons is now located at City Centre near Town & Country Village by the intersection of Beltway 8 and I-10 west. Its name has also changed to the City Centre Eco farmers market. It will be held every Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The City Hall farmers market has returned from its summer hiatus. You can attend this market on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are on the far northwest side of town, try the Farmers Market at Bridgeland. This market is open to the public and held on the second Sunday of each month from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Other standards such as the Eastside farmers market on Saturday mornings and Debbie's Garden and Farmers Market have retained their year-round schedules.
