The Super Pet Expo is returning to New Jersey this weekend, and animal rescue groups will be featured. If you are considering adopting a rescue pet, you might just find the pet of your dreams during your visit to the event. The Super Pet Expo is scheduled for February 7-9, 2014 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison.
The event is billed as the premiere shopping extravaganza and animal entertainment destination. The show organizers also promise to deliver plenty of educational opportunities during the three-day event.
Eric Udler, president of the Super Pet Expo, says the show promotes responsible pet ownership and helps draw attention to abandoned pets available for adoption.
“The event provides an opportunity for those looking to adopt a new pet to meet with a number of different rescue representatives in person in one place,” said Udler.
Among the New Jersey based rescue groups featured are:
Diamonds in a Ruff Rescue - Diamonds in a Ruff Rescue is an organization dedicated to rescuing animals from high-kill shelters and those who have been abandoned or are in need of homes. Their rescue focuses on saving animals of all breeds, types, and ages. They have assisted with rescue, foster, transport, advocacy, education, cross-posting, and general healthcare.
Garden State German Shepherd Rescue - They are a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming German Shepherd dogs. They are a full service rescue and referral organization serving New Jersey, parts of Delaware Valley, parts of Staten Island, and parts of Rockland County.
Home for Good Dog Rescue Inc. - Home for Good Dog Rescue is a 100% foster based, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Summit, New Jersey with offices in Berkeley Heights. Their organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs, and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.
Monmouth County SPCA – The Monmouth County SPCA was founded in 1945 to care for the community’s homeless, neglected and abused animals. They are not affiliated with any other shelter or welfare organization.
Rogers’ Rescues - Anne Marie Rogers founded Rogers' Rescues in June 2002 after being involved in dog rescue for several years. She saw an opportunity to find homes for dogs languishing in shelters located in remote locations. Anne Marie founded Rogers' Rescues as an "all-breed" rescue, welcoming any and every breed and mix.
