Valentine’s Day means one thing at the Washington Animal Rescue League: It’s time once again for Catapalooza, a special celebration of all things feline.
This Sunday, February 13, the league invites local cat lovers to visit their newly renovated cat area and playground. There, visitors can meet 50 adoptable cats — and possibly meet a special new feline companion who will bring some purring, furry love to their home. During Catapalooza, cat adoption fees are just $2. The event also features raffle prizes, free mimosas and cupcakes, cat-themed grab bags, and free Valentine’s card making for children.
The league’s cats have all been vaccinated, spayed or neutered, checked by a vet and tested for feline leukemia and FIV. They’ve also been personality tested as part of the Meet Your Match program. (Not sure what kind of kitty temperament is right for your home? Take the online Feline-ality assessment before you go to Catapalooza.)
Catapalooza takes place on Sunday, February 13, from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Animal Rescue League, located at 71 Oglethorpe Street NW. Admission is free.
