Moore Funeral Chapel announces graveside services for Linda Fincher will be held today at 2:00 pm at Mineral Springs Cemetery in West Fork, AR (see sidebar graphic).
Family, friends and colleagues of her husband, Hollis Wayne Fincher, incarcerated in minimum security prison on a gun possession charge (see links below), have been working behind the scenes to persuade the Bureau of Prisons to furlough him to attend the services. The latest word given to an aide to Rep. Steve Womack is that officials have no time or ability to respond this quickly, although a bit of hope was received yesterday from another source about a sympathetic contact within the BOP. Also, attempts to identify and contact Fincher’s case worker and the warden of Forrest City Low, where he is housed, have been made.
A Fincher daughter sent out this message by email yesterday afternoon:
Thank you for all your help. Dad will not be released because there is no way to get him out of prison. There is not enough time. I want to thank you all for all your efforts. Thank you, Fincher Family
Those thanks extend to all who joined that effort and extended thoughts and prayers to the Fincher family. Whether ongoing “Hail Mary” attempts to secure a furlough are successful or futile will be known in a few hours.
