The acts are set for the Iowa Blues Challenge Solo/Duo Division Finals, as well as for the 35th Annual Adel Sweet Corn Festival. You can check out the lineups for both below.

The second regional final in the Solo/Duo Division of the Iowa Blues Challenge took place on Sunday, August 3 at the House of Bricks in Des Moines. The Quay Thomas Duo, Joel Monroe, Thankful Dirt, Rob Lumbard, and Salem & Moore competed for two spots in the finals. The night saw five solid performances, but in the end it was the Quay Thomas Duo and Rob Lumbard who punched their tickets for the finals. Those two acts will join July 26 Quad Cities qualifiers The Zach & Mike Show and Charlie Hayes & “Detroit” Larry Davidson in the Solo/Duo Finals on Sunday, August 24 at 6 p.m. at Zimm’s Food & Spirits in Des Moines. For those wanting to attend the finals, admission will be $8 for the general public and $6 for members of any Iowa Blues Society. The winner of the Iowa Blues Challenge will receive $250 cash, eight hours of recording time, opportunities for paid gigs at the 2015 Winter Blues Fest and the 2015 Bottoms Up Blues Bash (and other events), and entry into and $300 travel expenses for the 2015 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
