Final scenes from the 2013 Atlantic City Classic Car Show & Auction (Photos)

The cars are all gone, many to new homes and garages. The New Jersey Home and Garden show has moved in and the Atlantic City Convention Center has taken on an entirely different perspective. Yet the memories of the 2013 Atlantic City Classic Car Show & Auction endure.

I captured many images of the event and they are presented in this article’s slideshow. Final auction bids and selling prices are noted where applicable and the beauty of the individual cars speaks for itself. Each vehicle is a piece of rolling sculpture representing individual design theories from different decades, produced by multiple manufacturers but all appealing to the senses of the automobile enthusiast.

Personal favorites of mine were the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang in exceptional original condition, the mildly customized 1960 Ford Fairlane, the 1963 Buick Riviera which I consider to be one of the styling triumphs of the decade and the 1941 Packard 110 Special Woody wagon resplendent in it’s perfectly finished wood and cream paint.

Enjoy the slideshow and if you’re local to the Philadelphia area, mark your calendars for next year’s event. To many, the flower show harkens thoughts of spring and warmer weather. To me it’s the Atlantic City Classic Car Auction that turns my internal time clock ahead to warmer weather.
