For those still looking to tick off "volunteering" on their 2013 Resolutions list, there is still time to get involved with the R-CATS program before 2014 arrives.

The last R-CATS volunteer meeting will focus on the rescue group's third year of Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) work in the Rome area on Tuesday, December 17th, at 6:30pm in the Common Council Chambers at Rome City Hall.

Organizers will have a brief recap of the year's events and give some hints about what's coming in 2014. Volunteers are needed for trapping cats, fostering adoptable cats and kitten, and helping organize fundraisers and adoption events. There will be a holiday social following the meeting.

The group will also accept redeemable cans and bottles to benefit the program at this time.
