Final match-ups are set for the 2012 Adam Frey Classic on Sunday, June 24, event organizers announced Wednesday.
The fourth edition of this annual fundraising event to honor the memory of late Cornell University wrestler Adam Frey will be held at Grace Hall on Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
Each year, the Adam Frey Classic features top current and past college wrestlers along with high school mat stars. In the history of the event, 105 NCAA qualifiers, 37 NCAA All-Americans, 13 NCAA champions, and one Olympian have taken to the mat to help support the Adam Frey Foundation, a non-profit organization to give comfort to and provide enjoyment for those receiving treatment for cancer.
For college wrestling fans, arguably the most anticipated bout would be 2012 NCAA Division I 174-pound champ Ed Ruth of Penn State facing off against 2011 NCAA finalist Robert Hamlin of Lehigh.
