Labor Day weekend is here and it is time for the last Huzzah at the 26th Annual Bristol Renaissance Faire, which runs this weekend through Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2013. The Ren-Faire in Kenosha is a getaway into the fantasy world of the 16th century.
The faire is open for nine weekends every summer. Labor Day weekend is the finale weekend for the faire, which closes for the season after the final day, which is Mon., Sept. 2. See the link at the bottom of the page for a special coupon for discounted admission.
Bristol Renaissance Faire offers fun for the family, kids activities, the excitement of jousting, food, merriment, entertainment on 16 stages, the popular Ren-Quest and the marketplace. Whether looking for a leisurely stroll on the beautiful grounds or the excitement of bawdy entertainment or the joust, the Faire has fun for everyone.
This weekend the faire is offering a mead tasting that includes five different meads for $30! This self-guided tasting tour features five different meads from White Winter Meads. Stop at the Guest Services Gazebo inside the front gate and pick up the Mead Map at the first pub and enjoy the mead at your own pace.
Special entertainment this weekend includes the Rambling Sailors duo of musicians and storyteller Dan the Bard. Pick up the map of the grounds and the schedule of entertainment inside the front gate.
Tickets are $19.95 for adults at the gate, but there is an online coupon offer for $15 admittance. Kids admission is normally $9.50, but the coupon admission for kids is free this weekend.
The Bristol Renaissance Faire is located in Kenosha County, Wisc., just north of the Ill./Wisc. state line and just west of I-94 (Russell Road exit), so it is easily accessed from the Chicago and Milwaukee areas.
