UFTA President Al Quinn, who resides in Fort Myers, Fla., made the announcement and invited members and guests to the organization's general meeting. The reading will follow.
Meetings are usually held the second Monday of every month at the Alliance of the Arts in Fort Myers. Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting and special events to follow.
The short film will share some of the dos and don'ts of attending a film or TV casting.
"'Casting' is a film project that UFTA has been working on for several months. Although the idea for it began a few years ago.
We have had two previous readings, and they were over the summer. Now, with the last revision completed, we can have a final reading.
Soon to follow will be a casting and then the shooting of the film!"
According to Quinn, UFTA members consist of talent all over the general area, and some have even lived out of the state.
"The majority of those who have shown an interest in the reading, so far, have been from Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres and other surrounding areas. One gal contacted us from the Netherlands!"
UFTA attracts all talent, although actors seem to be predominent. Members and guests have included photographers, talent agents, writers, authors, musicians, models and other talented individuals.
