Square Enix may be providing more details regarding “Final Fantasy XV” on the PS4 and Xbox One at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. According to a report by Enix Origin on Aug. 20, the company could be releasing a new trailer for the action role-playing game at the convention.
The alleged insider, which previously leaked that “Final Fantasy XV” and “Kingdom Hearts 3” would be debuting at the Electronic Entertainment Expo event earlier this year, stated that Square Enix may potentially provide some new footage. Furthermore, the company could also be disclosing the latest details on the latest mainline “Final Fantasy” installment.
The Tokyo Game Show event is scheduled to begin in approximately one month from now on Sept. 19. The first two days of the convention are treated as business days. However, it will be open to the general public on Sept. 21 and Sept. 22.
“Final Fantasy XV” is one of the biggest video games to be developed in Japan. Tetsuya Nomura, the main director behind the project at Square Enix, previously mentioned that they are going to be more open in terms of sharing new information for the long-awaited title. Moreover, Microsoft and Sony are expected to push next-generation systems hard at the Tokyo Game Show.
“Final Fantasy XV” was formerly called “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” before it underwent a re-branding.
