“Final Fantasy XV” was previously a PS3 video game called “Final Fantasy Versus XIII.” Due to the development difficulties, the project would eventually be moved to the PS4 and Xbox One.

Square Enix previously hinted that direct sequels could be coming to “Final Fantasy XV.” The company has extended the story to previous mainline entries in the past with follow-ups to “Final Fantasy VII,” “Final Fantasy X” and “Final Fantasy XIII.”

Despite trying to be more open about “Final Fantasy XV,” Square Enix has not yet disclosed a targeted release date time frame for the PS4 and Xbox One video game.
