The most-wanted rankings of “Final Fantasy XV,” “Kingdom Hearts 3” and “Persona 5” have been updated in the latest issue of Famitsu. According to a report from Gematsu on March 5, the 15th numbered installment of the “Final Fantasy” series was able to retake the top spot of the user-voted poll.
“Final Fantasy XV” was able to rack up 663 votes, beating out “Mario Kart 8” for the Nintendo Wii U, which ended up second with 649 votes. “Persona 5” went from first to third with 634 votes. “Kingdom Hearts 3” fell down another position to seventh with just 382 votes.
Atlus previously confirmed that “Persona 5” will be released in North America next year. The fifth entry into the cult-hit series is slated to come out first in Japan sometime during the winter season of this year.
Square Enix is not as ready as Atlus to provide the release dates for their software products as no time frames have been announced for both “Final Fantasy XV” and “Kingdom Hearts 3.” Although the two video games are in development at the same time, the publisher reassured fans that one title won’t be taking resources from the other despite having Tetsuya Nomura work on both projects at once.
