‘Final Fantasy XV’ and ‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ 2014 release date discussed by Square

Square Enix has issued an official comment regarding the rumored 2014 release of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3, both of which are scheduled for PS4 and Xbox One release. According to a report by Siliconera from Jan. 31, Square Enix has disclosed that both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 have not yet been given release dates, and that the 2014 release listing on an internal document was inaccurate.

There were reports in late Jan. that suggested a 2014 release for Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV was a strong possibility. An internal document from Square Enix Europe began to circulate listing the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One titles as 2014 releases.

However, as many suspected, the listed release date for Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III were inaccurate.

Square Enix went on to state that no announcements have been made to date the two games. Find Square’s full comment regarding the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV below:

We’re aware an internal document has been in circulation listing release dates for select Square Enix titles. This information contained in this document is inaccurate and features placeholder timing. Specifically – no announcement has been made to date for Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV – their projected release window remains to be advised.

Final Fantasy XV director, Tetsuya Nomura, recently shared that the release of Final Fantasy XV could be far off. Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 were announced for PS4 and Xbox One at E3 2013.
