Naoki Yoshida has further commented on the possibility of “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” being released for the PS4. In an interview with Nova Crystallis on Feb. 22, the director and producer at Square Enix revealed that it will be “quite easy” to port the game over to the next-generation. Furthermore, he was also confident that the PS4 will look better than the PS3 version. However, they are focusing on the current-generation console version for now. You can check out some screens from the massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the slideshow at the top of this article and the comments from Naoki Yoshida below (courtesy of Nova Crystallis):
We do have the high spec PC version we’re developing, so it’s not going to be a problem for us – it’s quite easy for us to create a version for the next generation. It can’t be lower than the PS3’s specs; it’ll only be higher and much easier for us to make something for that kind of platform. Of course, we want to have as many players as possible to enjoy this game; we will definitely want to bring the game out to as many platforms as possible. But first we will keep our promise and release it on PS3.
“Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” will be released by Square Enix for the PC and PS3 gaming platforms later this year in the North American region. The reboot of “Final Fantasy XIV” is currently being developed by Square Enix Product Development Division 3. You can pre-order the product in the following link: “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn”
The PS4 will be coming out later this holiday season.
