‘Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’ PS4 and Xbox 720 potential ports discussed (Photos)

Naoki Yoshida has further commented about the possibility of the upcoming “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” being ported to the PS4 and Xbox 720. In an interview with RPG Site on Feb. 25, the director and producer at Square Enix disclosed that that will definitely consider expanding the “high-spec PC version” of the game to the next-generation platforms when both systems are released. You can check out some screens from the massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the slideshow at the top of this article and Naoki Yoshida’s comments below (courtesy of RPG Site):

Of course we do have a high-spec PC version, so when the next generation comes out or if the spec goes up in the hardware market we can definitely consider that.

Naoki Yoshida and the rest of his colleagues at Square Enix Product Development Division 3 are currently developing “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.” The reboot of “Final Fantasy XIV” will be released first for the PC and PS3 in the North American region later this year. The recently-announced PS4 and heavily-rumored Xbox 720 next-generation gaming systems should be launching sometime during the holiday season.
