'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' enters closed beta

On Feb. 25, Square Enix launched the closed beta testing phase for the highly anticipated “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn”. The Windows edition of the game is available to play now, and it presents a fully designed MMO adventure.
Players in the closed beta will be able to test the all new “FATE”, or Full Active Time Events, as part of the new gameplay system. Players can participate in these occurring events by being within proximity of the event, without having to spend time forming parties. To assist those with quickly and easily assessing their PC’s performance, Square Enix has made the new FFXIV benchmark software available for free download at the benchmark site.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” is the first MMO to be completely rebuilt from the ground up to improve systems, player experience, and gameplay. We will keep you updated with the latest details on the title alongside other titles in the “Final Fantasy” franchise.
