'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' beta applications begin (Photos)

Square Enix released a few goodies for those looking forward to “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” today. First off, for those interested in the beta, they are officially taking applications starting today. If you want to be a beta tester, go put that application in and hope for the best.

If you are a Legacy member of the original “Final Fantasy XIV” you do not have to put in an application, you will immediately be allowed into the beta from the very beginning. Those that have played the original “Final Fantasy XIV” but happen to not be Legacy members will get access to the beta starting with phase 3 if they are not already chosen by then.

If you wish to beta test the PlayStation 3 version and already put in a beta application for the original “Final Fantasy XIV” PlayStation 3 version but you were chosen for the PC version instead, it seems like you do not have to put in another for the PlayStation 3 version of “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” but otherwise you need to specifically apply for that version.

Other than the beta applications going live today, Square Enix also released what will be the opening video for “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn”. That opening can be seen right here in the article and is titled A New Beginning.

For further details on the beta and application process head on over to the Lodestone, and good luck to all of those that will be applying!
