Final Fantasy XIII to be on dual-layer Blu-Ray

The latest Famitsu issue contains a new interview with Square Enix. The developer and publisher of Final Fantasy XIII confirm that the upcoming game will be pressed on a dual-layer Blu-Ray disc. In other words, Final Fantasy XIII contains over 25 GB of data on the Playstation 3.

Square Enix also stated that the Xbox 360 version will have compressed video and audio compared to the Playstation 3 iteration.

Final Fantasy XIII will be released on December 17th in Japan as a Playstation 3 exclusive and March 9th in North America for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

    BAM! Definitive version confirmed, now all we need to do is to wait for the news to leak out that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will take full advantage of Sony's upcoming 3D HD PS3 technology and...woops, I didn't say that=)
