Yesterday video game publisher Square Enix announced that the “Seekers of Adoulin” expansion for their MMORPG “Final Fantasy XI” would be making its way to the Xbox 360 and PC beginning in March of 2013.
“Seekers of Adoulin” is the fifth major expansion to “Final Fantasy XI” and was announced during the 10th anniversary event of the game earlier this year. Among the new features added to the game are player-built outposts, new contract work, and special “power spots” hidden throughout the environment for powerful character enhancements. Players will also be able to try two new jobs, the Geomancer, who harnesses elemental energies of Vana’diel to aid their comrades and attack enemies as well as the Rune Fencer, versatile duelists who wield both blades and incantations along with the ability to use arcane runes. Gamers can look for the “Seekers of Adoulin” expansion in stores beginning on Mar. 26, 2013 for both the Xbox 360 and Windows PC for $29.99. Also announced was the same-day launch of “Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition”, the full compilation of the stand-alone game and all four previously released expansion packs, three battle area add-ons and three add-on scenarios for $39.99.
