‘Final Fantasy X HD’ release date and additional contents details revealed (Photos)

Several new details have been revealed for the upcoming multiplatform title, “Final Fantasy X HD.” According to a report by Gematsu on March 19, the remastered compilation will now also include with “Final Fantasy X-2 HD” in addition to the prequel. The two titles are coming on one disc on the Playstation 3 but will be sold separately on the Playstation Vita. You can check out some screens from “Final Fantasy X HD,” as well as several older shots from the Playstation 2 version of “Final Fantasy X,” in the slideshow at the top of this article.

Both “Final Fantast X HD” and “Final Fantasy X-2 HD” are based on the international re-releases of the role-playing games on the Playstation 2. Furthermore, Square Enix is expected to release the collection in Japan sometime later this year.

“Final Fantasy X” was first released for the Playstation 2 console in North America on Dec. 17, 2001. The direct sequel, “Final Fantasy X-2,” came out for the same system on Nov. 18, 2003.
