‘Final Fantasy X HD’ PS3 and PS Vita graphics comparison video

Square Enix will release Final Fantasy X HD for PS3 and PS Vita in North America on March 18, but a new video has been released showing the visual difference between the PS3 and PS Vita version of the game. According to a post on the NeoGAF video game forums from Dec. 31, the PS3 version of Final Fantasy X HD will have the superior visual display, but the PS Vita version looks to perform admirably in comparison.

Footage of Final Fantasy X HD’s opening has been captured by a user in possession of the Japanese version of the game. Using a PS Vita TV to display Final Fantasy X HD PS Vita, we can now have a direct comparison of the two versions.

You can find the full video comparison above this article.

As one would expect, the PS3 version of Final Fantasy X HD has sharper and cleaner textures when compared to the PS Vita.

Character models also appear smoother on the PS3.

However, the PS Vita version of Final Fantasy X HD remains a great looking title with a noticeable leap in quality when compared to the PS2 original. Though colors appear slightly washed out when compared to the PS3 version.

No matter which version you decide on, it seems that Square Enix has done a great job with this HD remaster of Final Fantasy X.
